Clarification Cash Medical Allowance @ 15% of the Running Pasic Pay GEPCO

Item No. 10.2 has been pleased to accord approval for grant of Cash Medical Allowance provisionally to officials (BPS-01 to 15), working in GEPCO Narowal Cirele, due to non-availability of medical facility in District Narowal, being considered as Far-Flung Area under GEPCO’s area of jurisdiction, as per PEPCO’s Health-Care Policy issued vide Office Memorandum No. GMI (HR)/HRD/A-647/14271-14300 dated 15-12-2017 under Para No.6 w.e.f. 20-08-2019 as follows: .
“Cash Medical Allowance @ 15% of the running basic pay at the frozen level of its admissibility as on 30-06-2011 to the employees, in BPS-01 to 15 of GEPCO, if they opt for the same. The cash medical allowance should not be less than prevailing rates per month” i.e. Rs.1500/- per month.
The employees who opt for Cash Medical Allowance will also be entitled for consultancy and indoor facilities available at WAPDA Hospitals / Dispensaries.i Cash Medical Allowance will be admissible on the Basic Pay of employee @ 15% as on 30-06-2011.
25% enhancement of Cash Medical Allowance shall be added on the amount drawn of Cash Medical Allowance as per notification by Government of Pay Scales-2015.
